Using Apple/Google Pay for Pre-authorisation
If your event is using a private domain, guests can also pre-authorise their payment using Apple Pay or Google Pay, providing a quicker and more seamless checkout experience.
To enable Apple Pay and Google Pay for card pre-authorisation:
- Your event must be using a private domain - Adding a private domain to your event
- Apple Pay and Google Pay must be enabled on your event - Adding Apple and Google Pay to your event
*Please note if your event is not using a private domain, or Apple Pay and Google Pay have not been enabled, guests will be asked to enter their card details manually.
Enabling card pre-authorisation
- Go to Setup > Payment Methods.
- Click Configure on the Credit Card payment option.
- Choose when you would like your guests to pre-authorise their card:

- Toggle on Card Pre Auth Required on Registration to request pre-authorisation when guests register for your event.
- Toggle on Card Pre Auth Required on Bid to request pre-authorisation when guests place their first auction bid.
*Please note: You can only enable one pre-authorisation option at a time. It is not possible to request pre-authorisation both on registration and on first bid.
- To customise the message guests, see when pre-authorising their card, enter your preferred wording in the text box below the selected option.
