# Removing your domain from Google search

## If you added your private domain to your Emma microsite and then want to remove it from Google search afterwards, simply follow these steps.

First, contact your Account Manager so they can enable this setting for your event.

Once they have confirmed it's done, follow these steps:

- **Log into your domain provider website** (e.g. 123reg or Go Daddy)
- Go to **Manage DNS** for your domain
- Add the domain to Google Search Console. **[https://search.google.com/](https://u2589163.ct.sendgrid.net/ls/click?upn=u001.1hH52it1nsele1oHwNLvtO6TDbYgAPey61oo7dpg5-2FN-2BzuaZjTnyBmrz6aQWQO-2FBNewf_mcm57A8YYnNrSmg1wp1PWs6tBwCiyHr-2FFgKzGS9XZmy2CHvHg0O0dT5hPZnlytcCpLAPyw-2FYzrBjRs0rGV2IV6n08kW7kk4RHR-2F0MIYMlN-2FBRGp5JgKZsrCaCOVBEQ2HFBjgji2VZM0oTfd4OLlooGJ2-2FCLfrHG8bwbXvRgxx03ckbOK1lUs7zv6xNpfr9KE3FCl-2F-2ByE8GKxhafyCJfj0w-3D-3D)**

Adding the domain can be done by **following the prompts from Google** to add a new **TXT DNS** record:

- **Add a property** from the dropdown on the left hand side
- **Choose the property type**, Domain is recommended type as it covers all URLs
- **Follow the instructions** to add the **TXT** record

**\*Important Note: DNS changes can take time to apply so verification may not happen immediately.**

- Click **Verify**
