How to compress a video
If you’d like to add a hero video or add one to auction items, but they are too large in size, please follow the advice below.
- Hero videos need to be less than 15MB in size and in .mp4 format. We recommend the following dimensions: 2000x650px.
- Auction item videos need to less than 5MB in size and in .mp4 format. We recommend the following dimensions: 500x300px
If your video is too big, we recommend you ask your design or marketing team to resize it, so the quality is not compromised.
If this option is not available to you, we recommend using the below free video transcoder called Handbrake which works on Windows, Mac and Linux. However, retaining the quality of the video is not guaranteed, so it’s always best practise to get your videos resized by your internal team.
