Fundraising only sites: importing guests from third party registration platforms

This is for when you have sold tickets on a third party platform for a third party event (e.g. Run For Charity/Charity Challenge), but want to use Emma for participants to set up fundraising pages.

  • Export registered participants from the third party site in CSV format 
  • Bulk import these participants into Emma – referece this help centre article 
  • In the back end of Emma, add a ticketing page to the site (but don’t publish it) and create a ticket  
    • "IMPORTANT: make sure when creating the ticket that you go to "Advanced settings" and turn on "Link to Individual Giving Page" 

    • Edit the following comms: 
      • “Event Ticket Confirmation – Individual Giving” in Ticketing – this will be the email they receive to confirm they have a charity place with a link to set up their fundraising page 
      • All individual giving comms need to be customised 
    • Go to Guests and bulk select all guests and assign them to the relevant ticket 
    • Participants will then receive the customised “Event Ticket Confirmation – Individual Giving Page Linked” email (that you have customised) to confirm their place and encourage them to set up their fundraising page via a link
