Event tablet set-up

To start:

  • Do 10 tablets at a time
  • Turn them all on
  • Check they are over 95% battery – if not, then put them on charge
  • Go to settings and connect to the Wi-Fi

 

  1. Go to the Kiosk Pro Plus app
  2. Check or input the secure URL – we will let you know what it should be
  3. Press run kiosk mode to check the site loads and make sure it works

 

  • If all loads correctly, turn the tablet off
  • Clean/wipe the screens of finger marks using the cloth provided
  • Do this for all the tablets

 

Getting ready:

  • Count how many you are putting out on tables
  • Whilst turned off, lay them out on the tables, e.g. 2 per table – so they connect to the nearest Wi-Fi router
  • Turn them on
  • Make sure they are connected to the Wi-Fi – usually does it automatically

 

  1. Go to the kiosk pro app
  2. Press run kiosk pro
  3. Triple-tap the button to start screen mode – you should see ‘Guided Access Started’

 

  • If it asks for a password, press 55555

 

At the end:

  1. Collect all the tablets in

 

  • Come out of the kiosk pro app by triple-tapping the main button
  • Then enter the password 55555 and press End

 

  1. Turn the device off
